Lucy Bee Skincare
The entire Lucy Bee Skincare Range is Suitable for sensitive skin and Dermatologically approved. We’ve kept the range as natural as can be and we can proudly say that we do not use palm oil at all in any of our products. There’s hardly a day that goes by without reading in the press about deforestation for palm oil production and the fact that the very existence of orangutans is threatened because of this. We choose not to use palm oil in our skincare range, even sustainable palm oil, due to its negative impact on the environment, habitat, animals and eco-systems. Instead, we use our own Coconut Oil. Lucy Bee Coconut Oil is organic and the coconuts grow in agroforestry, a natural environment working in harmony with and supporting nature. Our Coconut Oil is also Fair Trade, with a guarantee that monkeys are not used to pick the coconuts. Our Skincare Range is not tested on animals.
We do not use palm oil in any of our product range, including our skincare range due to the negative impact it has on the environment, habitat, animals and eco-systems.
The Vegan logo represents the international standard for authentic vegan products. A dedicated and experienced team check each individual product application against the criteria, and query any potential inclusion of animal ingredients.
Cruelty Free International
We are certified by Cruelty Free International who work to end animal experiments worldwide. It is a globally recognised guarantee that a brand has made a genuine commitment to ending animal testing for its products. Lucy Bee has met their rigorous criteria, including independent audits.
We pay a 10% premium for our products. This is used for sustainable community projects and fair wages. In addition, a further 0.75% of total sales is paid to the Fair Trade body to allow them to do their good work, such as auditing and compliance.
With the COSMOS Organic logo you can be sure that the product has not been tested on animals, it contains no GM ingredients, no controversial chemicals, no parabens, phthalates, synthetic colours, dyes or fragrances. Environmentally Sound Packaging
Our aim is to use totally eco-friendly packaging and something that we have to consider is the durability of packaging and whether it is ‘fit for purpose’. The glass bottles, plastic pumps, aluminium lids and labels are all recyclable. The carton is FSC certified and carries their logo – FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) improving how the world’s forests are managed. The card inner and carton is recyclable, compostable and biodegradable.
